THE 88th NCAA basketball season just found another partner, one that will provide the tournament a perfect home for hotly-contested matches: The recently renovated Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Michael Noah, Chief Operating Officer of United Promotions Inc., recently signed the venue agreement with the NCAA on behalf of the Araneta Group at Gateway Suites.

The makeover the Big Dome has undergone will be a perfect fit with the NCAA’s spirited crowds.

“The energy of these hotly-contested games can be experienced to the hilt only at the Big Dome because it conforms to elevation, lighting and acoustic standards of world-class venues,” said Noah. NCAA coaches are also looking forward to playing at the Big Dome.

“The floor has the right amount of bounce and that prevents players’ injuries,” said former UST champion coach and now Perpetual Help mentor Aric del Rosario.

Noah said the makeover is still ongoing and when everything’s finished, “there will be enhanced sports lighting inside the coliseum which all athletes and fans will appreciate. Over at the back of house, there will also be new locker rooms and media lounges.”
