ANILA, Philippines—Team Lakay’s Danny  Kingad reigned victorious against Eko Roni Saputra pulling off a unanimous decision win in ONE Fight Night 7: Lineker vs. Andrade II at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday.

Kingad’s win not only elevated his place in the flyweight standing with a 15-3-0 record but also stopped Roni Saputra’s seven-match winning streak to bring his slate down to 7-2-0.

The King elevated his position in the standings and could be next in line for a match with champion Demetrious Johnson. Only Adrian Moraes and Kairat Akhmetov are ranked above Kingad on the flyweight ladder.

The Team Lakay fighter hit a spinning back elbow against Roni Saputra in the 1:15 mark of the second round, almost knocking out his Indonesian competitor but to no avail.

Kingad, however, dictated the pace until the third and final round to notch a unanimous decision in front of an electric crowd.

In the main event, Fabricio Andrade defeated John  Lineker for the vacated Bantamweight World title by way of corner stoppage.

After three rounds of heavy-hitting blows, Andrade’s corner threw the towel before the start of the fourth salvo due to eye damage, preventing a more serious injury for the fighter with hands of stone.

The co-main event saw Tawanchai PK.Saenchai successfully defend his Featherweight Muay Thai championship against Jamal “Yeniceri” Yusupov in convincing fashion.

Yusupov ate a leg kick in the 49-second mark of the first frame and immediately buckled down to one knee, prompting the official to stop the match.
