MANILA, Philippines—Sidelined Alyssa Valdez recently underwent a “procedure” to help with the recovery of her injured knee, her team Creamline announced on Saturday.

In a tweet, Creamline said the procedure is to help its star player recover faster after hurting her knee in December during the PVL Reinforced Conference.

However, the team did not disclose the procedure–and whether it was surgical in nature–that Valdez availed of.

“Alyssa underwent a procedure recently that will help her recover faster and come back stronger,” the statement read.

“We will ensure that she continues to receive the best possible care and treatment. We want to thank everyone for the prayers and concerns. She will be back soon enough.”

There is still no timetable for Alyssa Valdez’s return.

Valdez hurt her right knee last conference when Creamline squared up against Chery Tiggo. The Ateneo product landed badly on her knee as she went for a dig.

The Cool Smashers, however, are doing quite fine without their ace, currently holding a 3-1 record for a four-way-tie at the top seed with Chery Tiggo, PLDT and F2 in the All-Filipino Conference.

The Sherwin Meneses-squad is set to face off against the Crossovers in the first game of Saturday’s double-header in Pasig at Philsports Arena, to be followed by a clash between Cignal and the Cargo Movers.
