The Chicago Bulls waived veteran guard Goran Dragic on Tuesday.
The move reportedly was mutual and had been in the works since the Bulls acquired Patrick Beverley.
It gives Dragic a chance to sign with a club before Wednesday’s deadline to be playoff-eligible with a new team.
Dragic, 36, was averaging 6.4 points and 2.7 assists in 51 appearances off the bench for the Bulls.
Dragic is averaging 13.3 points and 4.7 assists in 939 career games (530 starts) with six teams.
