MANILA, Philippines—Two Filipino fighters will compete in the upcoming ONE Fight Night 9: Nong-O vs. Haggerty event at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok next month.

Jhanlo Sangiao will look to rise up the bantamweight ladder as he takes on Matias Farinelli in a three-round barn-burner.

Team Lakay coach Mark Sangiao’s eldest son is currently on a roll in ONE with an unscathed 5-0-0 professional record with four of those wins coming via stoppage.

Farinelli is also an undefeated fighter with an identical 5-0-0 card with all wins coming by way of submission.

Both fighters were set to face off much earlier in ONE 164 but Farinelli tested positive for COVID-19, postponing the match until further notice.

The number three ranked atomweight competitor Denice Zamboanga will also see action against Julie Mezabarba.

Zamboanga came off a split decision victory against Lin Heqin on ONE Fight Night 5, three months ago.

As it stands, Zamboanga is currently holding a 9-2-0 record while Mezabarba competes with a 9-4-1 card.

Fight Night 9 will be headlined by champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao and Jonathan Haggerty for the Bantamweight Muay Thai strap.

The card will see action on April 29.
