NBA: Hawks ink Bogdan Bogdanovic to 4-year extension

The Atlanta Hawks signed guard Bogdan Bogdanovic to a four-year contract extension worth $68 million, multiple outlets reported Thursday.
The Hawks later announced that Bogdanovic signed a multi-year extension. The team didn’t specify details.
Article continues after this advertisementThe deal kicks in next season after Bogdanovic declined his $18 million player option for 2023-24, per the report. The new contract runs through the 2026-27 season.
Bogdanovic, 30, is averaging 14.1 points per game and shooting 40.1 percent from the 3-point line in 43 games (five starts) this season.
“Bogi brings so many of the qualities we are looking for in a Hawks player,” general manager Landry Fields said in a new release. “In addition to his elite shooting ability, he has the versatility to thrive as a starter or sixth man, and a competitiveness that is invaluable to our team and culture. We are excited that he will remain a key part of our team going forward.”

He averages 14.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game in 359 career NBA games (157 starts) for the Sacramento Kings (2017-29) and Hawks.
