Chihiro Ikeda fired a second straight 75 Sunday and wound up joint 34th in the Suntory Open won by Ahn Sun-ju and Chi Arimura at the Rokko Kukusai Golf Club in Kobe, Japan.
Ikeda shot just one birdie against four bogeys at the soggy par-72 layout and settled for a share of low-amateur honors with Japan’s Mori Miho, who had a 71, at even-par 288.
The ICTSI-backed player finished way below expectations, blowing solid rounds of 70-68 in the first two rounds.
Ahn closed out with a 70 and nipped Ri Satoshi and Tie Arimura by one with a 14-under 274 total.
Satoshi rallied with three straight birdies from No. 14 but settled for pars in the last two holes for a 70, while Arimura holed out with a bogey for a 71 and a 275.
