PBA: Aaron Black comes through anew for Meralco Bolts
ANTIPOLO—Meralco had to gut out five more minutes of action to tie its PBA Governors’ Cup semifinals series against TNT and the Bolts knew who to turn to.
“The players on the bench were telling me to go to Aaron because he was the hot one tonight. He was scoring inside, outside and getting to the basket a lot so we wanted to take advantage of that,” said coach Norman Black after a 124-117 victory on Sunday at Ynares Center here.

“We needed everything today and we’ll need everything again on Wednesday.”
Scoring 28 against a top-caliber team like TNT is no easy feat but Aaron is fully aware that he would need to sustain his fine play for Meralco to advance to the finals.
The Ateneo product also knows his teammates are also more than capable to putting up big numbers.
“We’re a team where everybody can go off or everybody can break out. We’ll do this [series] as a team and we’ll win or lose as a team.” the 26-year-old gunner said.
“No pressure for me, I wanna make sure that I do my responsibility as a point guard but if it’s a good night then it’s a good night.”
