“I decided to move for my personal growth. I had to think long and hard about this,” said Lina.

The big man played sparingly for the Fighting Maroons despite having a promising high school career in UST.

He was a member of the UAAP Season 82 boys’ basketball tournament’s Mythical Five. Lina was also a former player for Batang Gilas back in 2016.

Sajonia’s entry to the team is something coach Yuri Escueta is highly excited for as well.

“He is not just a shooter but also a very good defender,” Escueta said.

Sajonia, who was a huge factor for FEU back in Season 85 with 11.17 points per game, has a game similar to Tony Ynot.

Ynot left the team last month along with Justine Sanchez.

Lina and Sajonia will have to sit out one year due to residency.
