The Philippine Blu Girls’ lone game in the Women Softball Asia Cup was postponed on Wednesday due to poor weather conditions in Incheon, South Korea.

The Blu Girls were scheduled to take on winless India at LNG Songdo Stadium but tournament officials decided to call off all games due to the weather.

It was one of eight games slated on the penultimate day of the preliminaries.

Currently in fourth place at 4-2, the Filipina batters were aiming to further solidify their bid to qualify for the semifinals of the continental tournament.

At stake in the Asia Cup are three spots in the World Women’s Softball Cup which will be hosted by Italy, Iceland and Spain in June.

Japan leads the tourney with a 5-0 record, followed by China and Chinese-Taipei with similar 5-1 slates.

Closely behind the Philippines is tournament host South Korea at 3-3, followed by Singapore at 2-3, Hong Kong at 1-4 with Thailand and India holding identical 0-5 records.

The Blu Girls won their first three matches after defeating Hong Kong, South Korea and Thailand before losing to Chinese Taipei.

They bounced back with a victory over Singapore before losing to China.
