PBA: Roger Pogoy regains touch for TNT in Game 2
MANILA, Philippines—TNT coach Jojo Lastimosa turned to one of his most reliable shooters in TNT’s 95-82 victory over Ginebra in Game 2 of the PBA Governors’ Cup Finals on Wednesday.
Roger Pogoy, who had a forgettable Game 1 with only six points, redeemed himself with 17 points to bury the Gin Kings late in the fourth quarter.

“Guys like that, they don’t stop shooting. Roger is a bonafide scorer and he will continue to shoot.”
Pogoy shot a respectable 41 percent from the field, including 3-of-6 from the three-point line.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, who powered Tropang Giga with 23 points, 19 boards and nine assists, also commended Pogoy for his bounce-back performance.
“That’s what we needed. He’s capable of doing it [scoring] every game. Last game, he had that (bad shooting) moment and that happened. We needed him and he showed up when it counted and that’s what it’s all about. He was there tonight,” Hollis-Jefferson, the frontrunner for Best Import, said.
“You gotta give credit to everybody. Everybody played a significant role in today’s win.”
