MANILA, Philippines-Veteran TNT big man Kelly Williams has been cleared to play in Game 3 of the PBA Governors’ Cup Finals.

Williams’ availability couldn’t be more timely for the Tropang Giga, who just lost another frontcourt piece in Justin Chua for the rest of the series due to an ACL tear.

“The good news is, Kelly will be cleared for Friday but we don’t know how much we’re going to get from him. If he can give us a few valuable minutes then that could be a welcoming sight,” said Lastimosa after TNT beat Barangay Ginebra, 95-82, in Game 2 on Wednesday.

The 41-year-old Williams has been sidelined since last month with a calf injury.

Williams is averaging 8.1 points and 5.0 rebounds per game this conference.

“We’re ready to play with our small lineup with Calvin (Oftana) at the 4 and Glenn (Khobuntin) at the 3. I think Tim (Cone) said on paper that that’s the lineup he has problems with.”

Game 3 is on Friday at Araneta Coliseum.
