PBA: Magnolia gets Abu Tratter in trade with Converge

MANILA, Philippines—Magnolia bolstered its frontline after acquiring big men Abu Tratter and David Murrell from Converge in a trade approved by the PBA on Friday.

The Hotshots sent shooting guard Adrian Wong and a future first round pick to the FiberXers in exchange for Tratter and Murrell.

Tratter will be a huge commodity for Magnolia, which is still missing the services of star center Ian Sangalang due to an undisclosed illness.

FEATURED STORIES

Tratter, the former La Salle standout, averaged 8.0 points and 4.7 rebounds per game for Converge in the Governors’ Cup.

Wong, meanwhile, joins the FiberXers backcourt led by Maverick Ahanmisi.

Magnolia finished with a 7-4 record in the elimination round of the Governors’ Cup before getting booted out by Meralco in the quarterfinals.

Converge also suffered a quarterfinals exit after falling to San Miguel Beer.
