MANILA, Philippines—Two years after hanging up his jersey, PBA legend Marc Pingris has decided to come back to the hardcourt.

Pingris will try his luck with competitive basketball once more for the Imus SV Squad in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.

The nine-time PBA champion was welcomed by Imus team owner Monching Talisayon in a Facebook post, formally announcing his stint for the MPBL.

Before calling it quits in the PBA, the two-time Finals MVP donned the Magnolia Jersey, a team which he was a part of since 206.

He last played under the tutelage of coach Chito Victolero.

Pingris was also instrumental in the Gilas Pilipinas run in the Fiba World Cup back in 2014, where the Philippines beat Senegal for its lone win in the competition.

The 41-year-old cager will continue to don No. 15 in his jersey for his career comeback.
