MANILA, Philippines—Rain or Shine has suspended Beau Belga for six working days without pay in relation to the veteran big man’s involvement in the brawl during an “unsanctioned” basketball game at a town in Cebu.

The game pitted a local team reinforced by PBA stars against a foreign squad.

Belga was among the several PBA stars including NLEX’s JR Quiñahan, NorthPort Robert Bolick and Magnolia’s Jio Jalalon who took part in the contest.

“Rain or Shine Team Management has suspended Beau Belga for six (6) working days without pay due to his involvement in an unsanctioned basketball game in Cebu,” the team said in a statement on Monday.

“Further investigations will be conducted internally.”

A video of the fight made rounds on social media on Sunday and showed Quiñahan exchanging punches with a foreign player.

Belga was also seen throwing the ball toward the same player before tensions eventually died down.
