TALK ‘N Text tries to finish its elimination round campaign strong and take at least a tie for the second best record in the PBA Governors’ Cup semifinals when the Tropang Texters battle No. 1 Rain or Shine today at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Tip-off is 6:30 p.m. with the Texters looking to win a fifth straight game and keep their momentum heading into the single-round playoffs where records of all qualifiers will be carried over.

As things stand, the Texters and the Elasto Painters are already into the next round together with Barangay Ginebra and Petron Blaze. The only thing to be disputed in this game is the final elimination round record.

And if B-Meg wins against Powerade in a road game at the Ibalong Centrum in Legazpi City at press time, only one slot will be left available which Meralco and Barako Bull both have a shot at.

The Bolts and the Energy battle in the 4:15 p.m. contest with the game as important as ever for Meralco, which will become the sixth semifinalist with a win.

Meralco has a 4-4 record, and in the event of a B-Meg win, would have an open lane to qualify outright provided that it trounces Barako Bull.
