KBL: Rhenz Abando, Anyang force Game 7 after blowing past Seoul

MANILA, Philippines—Rhenz Abando and Anyang KGC forced a Game 7 in the Korean Basketball League Finals after outlasting the Seoul SK Knights, 86-77, at Anyang Gymnasium on Friday.

Abando waxed hot from the field and sank four of his six attempts for nine points and helped Anyang tie the series at 3-3 and force a do-or-die game against Seoul. He also snagged seven rebounds to match.

Helping KGC on offense is Darryl Monroe, who was perfect from the court for 16 points (6-for-6) and six rebounds.

Over at the Seoul side of things, Jameel Warney’s monster game was wasted as he tallied a double-double of 31 markers and 10 boards.

Choi Bu-Kyung also registered 15 markers for the SK Knights while Heo Il-Young and Kim Sun-Hyung scattered 10 points each in a losing effort.

The time and date of the rubber match between Anyang and Seoul are yet to be announced by the KBL.
