SEA Games: PH captures three bronzes in vovinam
MANILA, Philippines—The Philippines reaped three bronzes in the vovinam events of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games at Chroy Changvar Convention Center: Hall F in Cambodia on Saturday.
Rhenel Guillermo Desuyo came away with a third-place finish after succumbing to Thailand’s Chainarong Yawanophat in the semifinal of the men’s 65kg category of vovinam, which is a Vietnamese traditional martial art.

Jovan Medallo, also took home bronze in the men’s sun-moon broadsword form event with 436 points.
Home bet Ly Boramy took home gold with 451 points while Khac Nguyen Huynh of Vietnam ended up as the silver medalist of the event.
Article continues after this advertisementJerlyn Kingad also notched a podium finish in third place in the women’s 55kg category after falling short in the semifinals against Panyasyli Alisa of Laos, who finished with the silver medal.
Thi Hien Le emerged victorious in the 55kg division after trouncing Pantasyli in the Finals for the gold medal.
