The summer of 2023 is one for the books as Gatorade, the leading hydration drink that caters to the health-conscious consumers, assembled the largest gathering of fitness aficionados through the Gatorade No Sugar Sweat Fest at the SM MOA grounds in Pasay City.

The record-breaking event, aptly dubbed Gatorade No Sugar Sweat Fest, gathered over a thousand fitness enthusiasts at the SM MOA grounds in Pasay City and broke the World Record for the Largest Aerobic Weight Training Class.

The grand event provided a fitting venue for health and fitness enthusiasts, with coaches and fitness experts sharing insights on hydration and wellness. Some of the partners invited were the Gatorade Sports Science Institute and the Philippine Society of Nutritionist-Dietitians.

Highlighting the fitness festival was Gatorade’s attempt to break the world record for the largest aerobic weight training class. Excitement was in the air as participants from all over Metro Manila took their spots and sweat the afternoon out with multi-awarded actress and the face of Gatorade No Sugar, Kathryn Bernardo, who was beaming with pride with her new collaboration with Gatorade No Sugar.

Leading the pack was no less than multi-awarded actress and the face of Gatorade No Sugar, Kathryn Bernardo.

“I am very honored to be a part of the Gatorade team,” she enthused. “I move a lot so Gatorade No Sugar is the perfect companion whenever I break a sweat from various physical activities because it keeps me well-hydrated and makes exercising so much fun. Aside from enjoying Gatorade No Sugar because it has no sugar and no calories, it also tastes really good!”

Along with Kathryn, the participants were given sweat-activated shirts that revealed a secret message as the shirt got soaked in sweat. The message highlighted the importance of proper hydration when engaging in sports, fitness activities, and general active lifestyle.

“The truth is, we lose more than water when we sweat from doing physical activities,” says Ray Philip Pine, PepsiCo Marketing Director. “We also lose electrolytes and other important minerals such as sodium and potassium that are essential in helping us function at our best. Drinking Gatorade No Sugar rehydrates and replenishes the body with all the electrolytes it needs without sugar and calories.”

The Sweat Fest featured coaches and fitness experts who shared insights on hydration and wellness. Booths were set up where participants engaged in health and wellness activities as well as tried healthy snacks.

Hydrating with Gatorade leaves the body fueled and energized to perform at its peak. On top of that, it has no sugar and calories, making it the ideal drink for health-conscious and active people.

At the end of the event, it was officially announced that Gatorade No Sugar beat the existing world record with a total number of 1,308 participants.

Gatorade No Sugar reinforces its stance as the leading hydration drink with the record-breaking Sweat Fest. Present at the event are PepsiCo representatives (L-R): Cristina Sim (brand manager for non-carbonated beverages), Melarie Javier (non-carbonated beverages lead), Nitin Bhandari (general manager)

“The Sweat Fest is indeed a milestone not just for Gatorade No Sugar but for the country,” Pine adds. “Not only we were able to prove that we could set a Guinness world record by gathering like-minded individuals; more importantly, we were able to impart the value of proper hydration with fitness enthusiasts, which is, more often than not, overlooked by many.”

Manila sets a new world record for the largest aerobic weight training class.

Gatorade No Sugar comes in two thirst-quenching flavors: Citrus Quench and Blue Bolt. Now available in leading supermarkets, convenience stores, and online shopping platforms nationwide.
