MANILA, Philippines — Roosevelt Adams has found a new home with the Yamagata Wyverns in the 2023-23 B.League Division 2 season.

The B.League on Monday announced that the Filipino-American winger will stay in B2 with a new team.

“I’m very thankful for the new opportunity to join the Yamagata Wyverns. I am very excited to meet my new teammates, staff, and organization. And of course, to play in front of the fans of Yamagata,” said Adams in a statement.

Kagawa, which is relegated to B3 after finishing with a 16-44 record in the second division, released the 6-foot-5 Asian import last week.

Adams averaged 9.2 points and 5.3 rebounds in 36 games played for the Five Arrows in his first season in Japan.

The 28-year-old was a former top overall pick in the 2019 PBA Rookie Draft playing for the Terrafirma Dyip from 2020 until failing to come to terms with the team this year.

Adams will beef up Yamagata, which missed the playoffs of the B2 season with a 26-34 record.
