Jailton Almeida improved to 19-2 by submitting Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the first round of their heavyweight bout Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Almeida won with a rear naked choke at 3:43 of the first round, his first appearance in a UFC main event and just his third at heavyweight.

“At one point he got to defend (the choke) but I got to readjust,” Almeida said through an interpreter. “When I come with pressure, no one can stop me.”

Almeida has finished all five opponents in UFC, including four in the first round. He has also fought at light heavyweight.

Rozenstruik fell to 13-5 and 3-5 in his last eight fights.
