MANILA, Philippines–After a losing start to the conference, Letran is slowly hitting its stride as it outgunned AMA Online, 71-57, in the 2023 PBA D-League Aspirants Cup in San Juan City.

Pao Javillonar led the Wangs@27 Strikers in their second straight win with 15 points. Kevin Santos chipped in with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Letran lost its first two games to start the season before winning against PSP Gymers, 100-92, last May 18.

The Wangs@27 Strikers improved to 2-2, tied with Perpetual Help at fourth place.

AMA Online’s Earl Ceniza and Reed Baclig tried to bring their team together, contributing 20 and 14 points, respectively, only for Letran to pull away in the final frame.

AMA dropped to 0-5 and is eliminated from contention.

Letran was 81 percent from the free throw line with Javillonar hitting all his five.

Letran will next face University of Perpetual Help-Dalta at FilOil EcoOil Centre.
