MANILA, Philippines—Jeremy Miado’s hopes of a world title shot took a big hit in ONE Fight Night 11 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Aiming to climb the strawweight rankings, Miado suffered a quick loss at the hands of unbeaten Russian Mansur Malachiev

Malachiev, who made his ONE Championship debut, submitted Miado via a D’arce choke at the 4:31 mark of the first round to improve to 11-0.

The 30-year-old Miado saw his four-fight winning streak snapped and fell to 12-5.

In the main event, Regian Eersel retained his lightweight Muay Thai world championship in convincing fashion after making handling Dmitry Menshikov.

Eersel hit Menshikov with a left kick to the liver that sent the challenger to the mat for a TKO finish just 46 seconds into the first round.

Kade Ruotolo, meanwhile, defeated Tommy Langaker to also retain his lightweight submission grappling title via unanimous decision in the co-main event.
