MANILA, Philippines—NCAA Season 98 MVP Will Gozum will play his final year with College of St. Benilde after a few months of being non-committal with the team.

After the Blazers succumbed to Letran in the NCAA Finals, the season MVP Gozum was silent about re-joining the team for his final year under coach Charles Tiu.

Fast forward a few months later, Gozum reaffirmed his commitment back to St. Benilde for NCAA Season 99, posing for an Instagram picture with Tiu.

Most recently, Gozum was still mum on donning his Green and White jersey anew when asked about it during the Collegiate Press Corps Awards.

During a training session with MPBL team Quezon Huskers, Gozum hurt his left hand due to a metacarpal injury.

“The doctor said it’ll take two months to heal but I’ll maximize that time and try to recover after two or two and a half months more to recover better,” he said a few weeks ago.

Thankfully for Gozum, he will have ample time to re-train with fellow Blazers and coach Tiu when he fully heals his arm with the NCAA opening in September.

Gozum won MVP honors last season after posting norms of 16.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per game while shooting over 53.8 percent from the field.
