MANILA, Philippines—After playing three seasons with Ateneo, Joan Narit will move on to the professional level to compete for the Farm Fresh Foxies in the Premier Volleyball League.
Narit began her run with the Blue Eagles last Season 82 and decided to turn pro after three years of playing to “learn and improve” as a volleyball player.
“It all feels different. I’m training with a completely new set of people. [This is] a different environment, and for a different league. It hasn’t sunk in yet but I am very excited,” the middle blocker said in a statement on the Foxies’ Facebook page.
”I want to learn and improve and be worthy of being called a pro player.”

A few days prior to the 6-foot-1’s commitment with Farm Fresh, fellow Ateneo Blue Eagle Pia Ildefonso also jumped to the pros to play with the Foxies.
Narit and Ildefonso will be joined by College of St. Benilde stars Mycah Go, Gayle Pascual and Cloanne Mondoñedo.
Jerry Yee, who gained and lost a coaching job in a span of a week, will be calling the shots for Farm Fresh in the upcoming conference of the PVL.
The Foxies will be competing in Group B of the PVL’s Invitational Conference against Petro Gazz, F2 Logistics, Choco Mucho, Cignal and Foton.
