NBA: What parade? Nikola Jokic is ready to go home after winning title

MANILA, Philippines—While the city of Denver is gearing up to celebrate its first-ever NBA championship with a parade downtown, Finals MVP Nikola Jokic can’t wait to just get it over and done with.
Jokic is ready to pack his bags and head home after powering the Nuggets past the Miami Heat in five games in the NBA Finals.
“The job is done,” the Serbian superstar told ABC after the Nuggets’ 94-89 win over the Heat in Game 5. “We can go home now.”
Jokić was asked if he's looking forward to the Championship parade.

Jokic wasn’t amused upon realizing he has to wait for several more days before he finally gets to go home with Denver’s championship parade scheduled for Friday (Manila time).
“No, I need to go home,” said Jokic during the post-game interview when asked if he’s looking forward to the parade.
The 28-year-old Jokic delivered a historic postseason run, becoming the first player in NBA history to lead all players in points, rebounds and assists.
Jokic, a two-time MVP, averaged 30.2 points, 14 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 1.4 steals in the NBA Finals.
