Following the news of Chris Paul and the Suns working on a new destination, Phoenix is already looking to fill the void in the guard position by exploring the possibility of landing Beal.

League sources told The Athletic that in order for the Suns to make the cap space work for Beal’s arrival, they would have to give up Paul, center DeAndre Ayton and Landry Shamet.

The Heat, who are coming off an unexpected NBA Finals run, meanwhile, would have to “send guards Kyle Lowry and Duncan Robinson along with multiple first-round picks” to acquire the three-time NBA All-Star.

Beal averaged 23.2 points, 5.4 assists and 3.9 rebounds in 50 games for Washington last season.

The Wizards, however, finished with an abysmal card of 35-47 to end up in 12th place.
