So eyes 5th win in Battle of GMs

WESLEY So will be gunning for his fifth straight crown when the Battle of the Grandmasters gets underway on July 14 in Boracay.

The first phase of the event organized by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines headed by Prospero “Butch” Pichay will be held at Boracay Club Paraw in Station 1 until July 20.  The second phase will be at the Cabagnot Training Center in Kalibo on July 21 to 26.
