MANILA, Philippines—Fifi Sharma is turning pro with the Akari Chargers in the Premier Volleyball League.

Amid her rumored exit from La Salle, Sharma showed up in the Chargers’ first Invitational Conference game wearing an Akari shirt beside team manager Mozzy Ravena during their game against the PLDT High Speed Hitters on Saturday at FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

Akari welcomed the 22-year-old Sharma on social media.

“Now in the Home of the Akari Chargers. Welcome Fifi Sharma,” the team wrote

But the team has yet to confirm when she will play for the team as of posting time.

PVL tournament director Tonyboy Liao told reporters that Akari may field Sharma in the third conference as the teams already submitted their final roster for the Invitational Conference.

Sharma played two seasons in La Salle, helping the Lady Spikers end a five-year title drought in Season 85.
