MANILA, Philippines—More Filipinos may be able to witness the 2023 Fiba World Cup action with new ticket prices released by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP).

After feedback about the high ticket prices slated for the international competition, basketball diehards may now avail of single game tickets with prices as low as P499.

Along with the single game tickets that may range from P499 to P27,299 pesos depending on the matchup, different day passes on different days are also continuously being offered.

The one-day passes, expectedly, cost a tad more. Serbia, Greece and the Dominican Republic, who will potentially field Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Karl Anthony Towns, respectively, have ticket prices as high as P52,999.

Gilas Pilipinas’ bout against Angola at Araneta Coliseum on August 27 has tickets priced at P499 for the fans who want to experience the Nationals’ match inside The Big Dome.

In preparation for the World Cup, Fiba has also unveiled an online merchandise store where fans can purchase items that represent their countries.

Included on the website are clothes and fits made for host countries Philippines, Indonesia and Japan.

“We wanted to make this event special by creating a collection of merchandise that suits everyone,” said Jude Turcuato, Head of Sports at PLDT/Smart. “All of the designs were intricately created to celebrate national pride and the passion of the fans while maintaining high quality that will stand the test of time.”

If ever fans are not lucky enough to get stocks on the online store, physical stores will be put up in the arenas for the World Cup, including the MOA Arena, Araneta Coliseum and Philippine Arena.
