MANILA, Philippines—Barangay Ginebra had a up and down the last game of the PBA on Tour on Sunday at Ynares Sports Center in Pasig.
For one, the Gin Kings hung on until the final buzzer to give NLEX a 91-85 beating to end the preseason with a 6-5 record.
However, key cog Jeremiah Gray went down with an apparent serious knee injury in a horrific moment.
At the 22-second mark of the third quarter, Gray was free for a layup but as he launched himself up in the air, his right knee buckled which made him scream in pain.
He was stretchered out of the game with his teammates watching in shock.

Just last year, Gray suffered a torn ACL before returning with the Gin Kings in the PBA Commissioners’ and Governors’ Cup tournaments.
Gray exited the game with eight points, seven rebounds and five assists. Von Pessumal stepped up when it mattered most with a near double-double of 23 markers and nine boards.
Sean Anthony’s 26-point and nine-rebound outing was put to waste while Anthony Semerad finished with 24 points in a losing effort for the Road Warriors, who finished the On Tour at 5-6.
Earlier, Blackwater wrapped up its PBA On Tour with a dominant win over lowly TNT, 101-78.
JVee Casio had a slight return to form in the Bossing victory with 18 points built on four made triples to go along with four assists.
Mike DiGregorio had 15 points while Rey Suerte snagged a double-double of 10 markers and 10 rebounds to give Blackwater a 7-4 record.
Lowly Tropang Giga, who finished with a record of 1-10, turned to reliable wing Glenn Khobuntin with 14 markers but to no avail. Jaydee Tungcab also scattered 13 in a losing effort.
