MANILA, Philippines—University of Santo Tomas continued to bolster its men’s and juniors’ basketball programs further with the addition of another partnership.

The Growling Tigers and Tiger Cubs on Tuesday announced their partnership with Cocolife and Dumper Partylist ahead of UAAP Season 86.

The tie-up came just a few weeks after UST and San Miguel Corporation linked up with SMC sports director Alfrancis Chua being appointed as the university’s special assistant to the rector for sports.

“We want to thank Cocolife and Dumper Partylist for the trust and confidence that they showed us for bringing this partnership to reality,” said Rev. Fr. Rodel V. Cansancio, O.P., UST’s athletics director.

“There are lots of basketball programs [to support] but they chose UST.”

The memorandum of agreement signed by Cansancio and the other officials was disclosed to be just one year.

Cocolife’s Senior Vice President Joseph Ronquillo, however, said both parties are “very much open” to an extension after Season 86.

“We give our full support to the development of UST, not just for juniors but also in seniors,” said Ronquillo.

The Growling Tigers are currently in South Korea as part of their UAAP buildup.
