Volleyball players Shola Alvarez, Tin Tiamzon announce engagement

MANILA, Philippines—Volleyball players Shola Alvarez and Tin Tiamzon announced their engagement on Monday.

In an Instagram post, Tiamzon is seen pointing to the hand of Alvarez, who is happily showing off her ring.

“Entering a new chapter in our story,” wrote the 26-year-old Alvarez, who plays for F2 Logistics in the Premier Volleyball League.

Cargo Movers head coach Regine Diego and F2 Logistics stars Kianna Dy and Iris Tolenada extended their congratulations to Alvarez and the 26-year-old Tiamzon, who was a key player for the La Salle Lady Spikers.

“OMGGGGGG CONGRATSSSS!!!!!,” commented Dy in the post.

“Screamingggg!!! Congrats, love you both so much!!!” Tolenada, who is set to play as Asian import for the GS Caltex Seoul Kixx in the Korean V-League, wrote.

Tiamzon announced her retirement from volleyball last January after being among the six players let go by F2 Logistics.
