MANILA, Philippines—Marck Espejo is set to add another feather to his cap.

Despite not having the most fruitful run with the Philippines national men’s volleyball team in the Southeast (SEA) V-League, Espejo is all ready to try his luck in South Korea.

Espejo departed the country on Wednesday afternoon to start training with Incheon Korean Air Jumbos for the 2023-24 V.League season. Their run will begin in October.

“TyL (thank you, Lord) for this another season ahead. Wish me luck. Fighting!” wrote Espejo in an Instagram story.

Espejo was drafted by Incheon four months ago as the third overall pick.

Prior to his selection in the Korean league, Espejo powered Cignal to a perfect 15-0 season in the 2023 Spikers’ Turf Open Conference.

Espejo was the only Filipino drafted in this year’s class with Manuel Sumanguid, JP Bugaoan and Josh Umandal left unselected.

Espejo will join the Air Jumbos, the defending kings of the Korean V.League, who finished with a 26-10 card last year.
