Naina Dominique Tagle snared four gold medals in secondary girls’ archery at the ongoing 2023 Palarong Pambansa in Marikina City.
The 16-year-old from Central Visayas added the 60-meter title to her collection on Thursday in a record-setting 327-point output to defeat National Capital Region’s Venice Garcia, who settled for the silver medal with 313 points.
Central Luzon’s Faith Novesteras took the bronze with 312 points.
Tagle also seized the golds in the 30m, 50m and 1440 round, but lost to Garcia in the 70m which prevented her from sweeping the five events in this year’s Palarong Pambansa.
Garcia gathered 310 points for the gold as Tagle came short with 306.
Novesteras placed second behind Tagle in the 30m, 50m and 1440 round
