Robert Bolick begins buildup with Japan B.League team Fukushima
MANILA, Philippines — Robert Bolick has started his offseason buildup with his Japanese B.League Division 2 team Fukushima Firebonds.
The Firebonds posted a video of the Filipino guard introducing himself to the fans.
Article continues after this advertisementBolick has been in Japan since August 1 with his wife, Cassandra. He has already been attending team practices with the Firebonds.
“I’m so excited to be here and thank you so much for having me. It’s a very good place and a very good city. Let’s go Firebonds,” Bolick said in the video.

The former PBA player will beef up Fukushima, which missed the B2 playoffs with a 28-32 record in the previous season.
Bolick will be going up against fellow Filipinos bannered by Kiefer Ravena and the Shiga Lakes, who were relegated to the B2, Greg Slaughter of the Rizing Zephyr Fukuoka, and Roosevelt Adams of the Passlab Yamata Wyverns.
The 27-year-old guard is having a fresh start after five years in the PBA with the NorthPort Batang Pier, which selected him as the third overall pick in the 2018 Rookie Draft.
He only played a total of eight conferences throughout his five-year stay and averaged 21.6 points. 5.4 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.0 steals per game but NorthPort failed to make the playoffs with a 3-8 record in the previous Governors’ Cup.
