PVL: Farm fresh acquires Alyssa Bertolano, Justine Dorog
MANILA, Philippines — The Farm Fresh Foxies added more firepower to their young line-up after landing Alyssa Bertolano and Justine Dorog ahead of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference in October.
The Foxies welcomed their new recruits, who played for fellow new team Gerflor Defenders in the Invitational Conference.

“We need offense. We need solid first balls. But more than anything, we need a veteran to guide the young players. And this one fits the bill perfectly. Farm Fresh welcomes Justine Dorog as the newest Foxy! Watch and support her and the rest of the team in the upcoming PVL conference,” the team added in a separate post.
Bertolano, who only played two UAAP seasons with University of the Philippines, emerged as the leading scorer of Gerflor in her rookie debut with a total of 47 points as they finished winless in the pool phase with a 0-4 record and lost their classification game against Foton.
Article continues after this advertisementBertolano will be teaming up with her former collegiate rivals Trisha Tubu and Kate Santiago, who played for Adamson before taking their act to Farm Fresh.
Dorog was an all-around spiker for the Defenders, who placed 12th in their PVL debut. She will be reuniting with former UP coach Jerry Yee.
The team flew to Hong Kong for a trip to build the chemistry of its players before the second All-Filipino this season on October 16.
“We will be having a trip. We are thankful to our sponsor because they will bring us to Hong Kong. This is also huge in developing the chemistry of our players,” Yee said.
