Error-prone Far Eastern squeaks past Perpetual
Far Eastern coach Manolo Refugia knows what his Lady Tamaraws have to improve on despite extending their win streak to two in the V-League Collegiate Challenge after surviving Perpetual Help Wednesday at Paco Arena in Manila.
It was just very glaring on the stats sheets.
“We really need to minimize our errors,” Refugia said in Filipino after his Lady Tams committed 39 boo-boos but still were able to escape the Lady Altas, 28-26, 17-25, 25-17, 25-13. “We need that so we can still take control even in tight situations like in the first set. Good thing my players stepped up in the end.”

Refugia also saw something promising in his wards’ game, their 19 blocks that sort of balanced things out for the squad.
“We are still working on our blocking, thankfully we are yielding positive results. But we still have a lot to work on,” Refugia said.
