MANILA, Philippines — House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez has extended his warmest congratulations to Gilas Pilipinas’ victory against China during the 2023 Fiba World Cup, which he said is “a powerful source of inspiration” beyond the basketball court.
Gilas Pilipinas, led by Jordan Clarkson’s 34 points, dismantled China 96-75 and secured its victory on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“This remarkable performance by our national team underscores their unwavering dedication, relentless hard work, and indomitable spirit, setting an inspiring example for all.
