The Fiba World Cup knockout phase–from the quarterfinals to the final–begins on September 5 with Manila hosting all the remaining games of the global meet.
In an all-European final, Germany and Serbia square off in the championship game on September 10 for a chance to take home the Naismith trophy while Team USA and Canada dispute the bronze medal.
The teams who advanced to the quarterfinals after 10 days of group-stage games in three Asian cities were Italy, United States, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Serbia, Canada and Slovenia.
A loss in the knockout quarterfinals on September 5 and 6 sent the teams to classification games for places five to eight.
