PVL: Nxled gets May Luna; Teams continue to fill the pieces
MANILA, Philippines — The Nxled Chameleons signed May Luna as the player movements continue in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) ahead of the season-ending All-Filipino Conference in October.
Luna is the latest Nxled recruit from the defunct Foton squad.
Article continues after this advertisementThe former La Salle Lady Spiker ended her two-year stint with the Chery Tiggo franchise, which she joined in 2021 after one PVL conference with Cignal in the bubble tournament.
Luna played the whole 2022 season with the Crossovers before she was shipped to Foton in the Invitational Conference.
The Tornadoes pulled out of the league after one tournament.
Article continues after this advertisementThe 25-year-old wing spiker will be joining fellow new recruits Jannine Navarro and setters Kamille Cal and Maji Mangulabnan in leading the Chameleons, who will be parading former Akari players Chiara Permentilla, Lycha Ebon, Jho Maraguinot, Camille Victoria, Krich Macaslang, Dani Ravena, and Rachel Jorvina.
Nxled has yet to reveal its head coach but already introduced Vilet Ponce de Leon as deputy.
Meanwhile, F2 Logistics also tapped young middle blocker Ethan Arce from Gerflor, while PLDT signed setter Angelica Legacion from Chery Tiggo.
Chery Tiggo also released Roselle Baliton, who signed with Akari, which will reveal a new recruit on Thursday evening.
