Coseteng regains lead with sweep
MULTITITLED Jody Coseteng flashed his championship and notched a crucial sweep to regain solo leadership recently in the fourth leg of the 2012 Yokohama Philippine GT Championship Series at the Clark International Speedway.
On both occasions, defending champion Vincent Floirendo took control at the start but Coseteng quickly bounced back to wrest the lead and rule the Sprint and the Final races of this event sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines and sponsored by Official Tires Yokohama, Official Oil Torco Racing Oil and Racing Beat@Wave 89.1.
Stefano Marcelo’s car went aflame during the practice, leaving the race a close fight among Coseteng, Floirendo and Jojo Silverio.
Coseteng completed the race in 19:34.52 or 4.815 seconds ahead of Floirendo.
