PVL: F2 Logistics coach says Kianna Dy day-to-day with knee injury
MANILA, Philippines — F2 Logistics coach Regine Diego bared that Kianna Dy’s playing status in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference is day-to-day after going through an undisclosed knee surgery.
Diego said that the timetable for the star opposite spiker’s return from her injury is uncertain after she hurt her knee in their semifinal against Creamline in the Invitational Conference three months ago forcing her to miss the Cargo Movers’ last four games.

“[Her injury is on her] patella.Sorry, I’m not specific din sa injuries,” she added.
Diego, the first woman coach in the pro volleyball league in the country, said that Dy is still part of their line-up for the second All-Filipino Conference this 2023 season.

“Everyone is pressured to win. But all we can do is do our best every day and our goal is to play in the championship. We have to go through a lot of games to achieve that,” said the youthful coach. “We’re gonna do our best so let’s see.”
Diego will continue to pin her hopes on core players Ara Galang, Kim Fajardo, Aby Maraño, Majoy Baron, Myla Pablo, Ivy Lacsina, and Dawn Macandili-Catindig as well as last conference’s recruits Mars Alba, Jolina Dela Cruz, and Jovelyn Fernandez and newcomers Ethan Arce and Joy Dacoron.
“The chemistry is good but we’re not yet in full force. Hopefully, throughout the games our team will be better and improve more because every game, win or lose, we learn,” said Diego in Filipino. “[Having an intact lineup] has pros and cons. [One of the] pros is they are more connected with each other. But the cons is our opponents have younger players and they also improved and developed with their team. So let’s see what will work if it’s the chemistry or new bloods?”
