June Mar Fajardo dedicates Asian Games gold to late mother
MANILA, Philippines—June Mar Fajardo made sure to dedicate his latest feat to the most special person in his life.
“Gold medalist na akong Mama! Wish I could put this medal around your neck Ma!” wrote Fajardo on his Instagram on Friday.

The podium finish was the first men’s basketball gold for the Philippines since 1962.
Fajardo put his gold medal next to his mother’s urn.
