MANILA, Philippines — Ara Galang took charge as F2 Logistics scored its second straight win against the winless Galeries Tower, 25-15, 25-22, 25-17, in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference on Saturday at Candon City Arena in Ilocos Sur.

Galang delivered an all-around game with 14 points, 12 digs, and nine excellent receptions, stepping up in the absence of Myla Pablo, who was feeling under the weather, to improve the Cargo Movers’ record to 2-1.

“Since our meet and greet yesterday, our fans have high energy. It feels good to see them. This is a far place so we wanted to make the most of our visit,” said Galang in Filipino.

“We have to work together as a team and as one. Personally, my mindset was to contribute to the team,” she added.

Jolina Dela Cruz contributed 11 points for  F2 Logistics. Majoy Baron chipped in 10 points. Kim Fajardo dished out 10 excellent sets on top of five points, as Ivy Lacsina and Aby Maraño added eight and six markers, respectively.

“It’s not perfect, that’s how it is. Improvement is not a straight diagonal line, it’s a series of ugly games and good games,” said F2 Logistics coach Regine Diego on their shaky second set showing.

“Hopefully, through our games, experience-wise, they will build a connection and master the system. We don’t want to be perfect, we just want them to be connected.”

No Highriser scored in double-figures with Norielle Ipac’s seven markers proving to be the team’s best. Rap Aguilar added six points, while Carlota Hernandez, Dimdim Pacres, and Fhen Emnas chipped in three points apiece as Galeries remained winless in three games.
