MANILA, Philippines— Both collegiate leagues have suspended the men’s basketball games due to relentless rains in Metro Manila Saturday morning.

The tiff between University of the East and Adamson at 2 p.m., and the clash of University of the Philippines and University of Santo Tomas at 4 p.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena have been postponed to a later, to-be-determined, date.

The announcement came from UAAP President Nilo Ocampo after the majority of the participating schools have already suspended their classes.

“Ticket arrangements for the affected games will be honored upon confirmation of the final date and venue,” also announced the UAAP.

The UAAP juniors, game, though, went on as scheduled as the players were already in the venue at the time of the suspension.

Meanwhile, the anticipated battle of rivals Letran and San Beda at 6pm and the meeting of Arellano and Mapua at 4pm at the San Juan Arena have likewise been suspended.

NCAA Mancom chairman Vic Calvo of Letran confirmed the suspension, also citing bad weather condition.
