All-Star Challenge on AKTV
THE PLDT All-Star basketball challenge that pitted former National Basketball Association stars against past Philippine Basketball Association superstars will be aired on AKTV on IBC 13 tomorrow at 8 p.m.
The NBA squad’s Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman and Jason Williams took on some of the best PBA players like Kenneth Duremdes, Jojo Lastimosa and Jerry Codiñera. AKTV will air a replay on July 27 at 9 p.m.
Other PBA players who saw action were Marlou Aquino, Nelson Asaytono and Noli Locsin.
The NBA side won, 112-93, in the match held July 18 at Mall of Asia Arena.
A highlight of the match was when Rodman publicly acknowledged the presence of his estranged father, Philander, whom he haven’t talked to in more than 40 years.
The elder Rodman, formerly of the US Air Force, is now based in Angeles City, Pampanga
