MANILA, Philippines–NLEX will figure in an eventful clash against TNT in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup this Wednesday.

The Road Warriors are set to unveil Robert Bolick when they take on their sister team in a bid to keep themselves afloat in the race for a playoff spot.

Game time is at 8 p.m. with team governor Ronald Dulatere hoping that the former NorthPort ace picked third overall during the 2018 Rookie Draft plays without pressure.

“Just try to fill the gap left by Kevin (Alas)–both [through] his offense and leadership,” the newly minted representative to the league’s board told the Inquirer in a message on Tuesday.

Bolick’s rights were acquired by NLEX from NorthPort in a three-team trade involving San Miguel Beer. He arrives at a time when the club is dealing with the absence of its cornerstone Alas, who suffered a third-straight knee ligament tear.

Also slated is a jersey retirement ceremony for former league Most Valuable Player Asi Taulava.

“We chose to retire his jersey in a game with TNT, as it is the team where he started his PBA career,” Dulatre said of the short event.

Dulatre also said that Tualava will remain a part of NLEX’s plans moving forward, as the latter is set to become a corporate ambassador.

Taulava, a PBA champion and a 17-time All-Star, has been activated by the team management on Tuesday–setting up a chance to eclipse Robert Jaworski Sr.’s long-standing record for most seasons played at 23.
