MANILA—The Philippine Sports Commission authorized the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. to provide “direct financial assistance” to the Philippine Aquatic Sports Association, an official document shows.
In a letter dated Aug. 2, 2007, to then Pagcor chair Efraim Genuino, the PSC thanked the agency for its financial aid to the national athletes.
Pagcor said the document belies former Sen. Nikki Coseteng’s allegations that its assistance to Pasa did not have the PSC’s imprimatur.
