“I’m happy and honored to be able to join a stable and long-time volleyball club such as the Cignal HD Spikers. Coach Shaq has also been my coach in several national team stints so I think it will be easy to adapt to the team as I already know his system from before,” said Catindig, a three-time UAAP champion and former Finals MVP.

Delos Santos believes Catindig could be the missing piece for Cignal, which only made the finals once in the 2022 Reinforced Conference but settled for silver after losing to Petro Gazz.

“Any team or coach will gladly welcome a player of Dawn’s caliber,” said Delos Santos in Filipino. “We want to continue building on the podium finishes that we had lately. We believe that Dawn is one kind of player who will help us reach our goal for this team.”

The star libero solidifies the roster of Cignal bannered by Invitational Conference MVP Ces Molina, Best Setter Gel Cayuna, and Vanie Gandler, who had an impressive rookie year, especially in the second All-Filipino Conference.

Macandili was the first Cargo Mover to find a new team after the disbandment. The other F2 stars Aby Maraño, Majoy Baron, Kianna Dy, Myla Pablo, Ara Galang, Ivy Lacsina, Kim Fajardo, Mars Alba, and Jolina Dela Cruz have yet to find or reveal their future in the pro scene.
